"Brandon was very welcoming as I walked into the studio. He immediately started the demo of the piece i was going to be working on, and
he explained everything clearly and made sure I understood before I jumped in. My first piece was a success! I think he's a great teacher, and i will definitely be a returning customer"
"Brandon is an excellent teacher - so easy going yet at the same time you can tell he really is wants to give you a valuable lesson. I never feel like a bother to ask him for help or to do a demonstration for me. He's a master of his craft and is totally down to earth - that's why I keep coming back!"
“My girlfriend and I took a glass making class with Brandon for valentines day. We both made hearts and fell in love with the craft. So we decided to make it a weekly activity! Brandon is a great teacher and is always willing to step in and give a demo when we need help with a piece."
Monumental Glass Cremation Series
Cherish your loved one for a lifetime by preserving their ashes in a beautiful piece of glass art.
Years ago, a friend asked if we could make something in glass using the ashes of their beloved family pet. We made several glass marbles so that each family member could treasure him for a lifetime. Many years and hundreds of pieces later, we have expanded our Monumental Glass services to include an even wider variety of glass designs. Ashes can be combined with any glass color or custom design that we offer, as we have created a special technique to apply the ashes in glass to any of our handmade glass designs. Please see the gallery below for images of past creations.
If you would like more information about pricing on a custom design, just give us a call at (215)-534-2451.
How the Cremains Are Handled
Our glass artists handle all cremains with respect and care. We are aware that these ashes are the final pieces of a family member, friend, or pet, and we treat them as if they were our own.
How to Order
What You Do: Take a tablespoon of ashes, package them into a secure container, and mail them to the address below. Then place an order from our online store detailing the style, size, and color combination you feel would best capture the essence of your loved one.
What We Do: As soon as we receive the ashes, we will begin crafting your keepsake by encapsulating the cremains within molten glass, transforming their ashes into art. As the ashes and glass mix, they will create different patterns and designs, ensuring that each piece will be entirely unique.
Please send your ashes to: Monumental Glass, 243 Harvey Ave., Doylestown, PA 18901
Customization is our specialty. From angels to dragons, hearts to starfish, we can build a piece of decorative glass specifically designed for you. We have many options for each of our intricate glass making processes: we can design the piece for you, you can come up with your own design, or you can work with a member of our highly skilled design team to create your dream piece of glass art. We can go through the whole sketch and design process or we can just wing it and have fun. Its up to you! We can customize based on colors, shapes, initials, birthdays—pretty much anything you can think of (within reason). The world is your oyster! And hey—we can make those too! Please contact someone from our staff if you have any questions.
Design Process & Pricing
With custom pieces, it can get a little tricky to meet the needs of the customer. Because there are so many varieties of color, different brands, and types of glass, it is important to have a design and a well written contract for any substantial piece. In our process, we can use either hard or soft glass, both of which are diverse in the styles and colors you can put in the design of your pieces. Often the soft glass colors are considered more bright and ambient but are known to be more difficult to work with, while the hard glass is easier to work with but has fewer color options.
The industry is evolving and growing every day, so we do our best to keep up with what's new and exciting. Our research team uses its extensive skills to find the answers to those tough questions you might not be able to find on your own. WE PROVIDE... YOU CREATE, that is our mission. Let us help you make the custom piece of a lifetime for you and your loved one to cherish and remind you of your most important dreams and aspirations.

Artist and Sales Professional
Heady Dubs (aka Patrick Hetherington) has been a "clutch" when its comes to getting things done around here. His many years of experience in the construction industry make him an invaluable team member, both from his extensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on engineering skills, as well as his well rounded ability to deal with customers even in the hairiest of situations. He is a co-manager of the sales team but more importantly is a talented artist with the hand working skills to match.
Monumental Glass has been producing multimedia artworks for over 15 years, mainly focusing on the delicacies of hand-worked glass. We try to capture the versatility of glass within our pieces to create many different kinds of glass art, such as jewelry, cremation artwork, home décor, figurines, and much more. Located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, our studio strives to combine the elegance of highbrow art with the gritty honesty of the craft studio. We focus not only on the technical aspects of the craft, but also on the more spiritual, meditative, and emotional qualities of the glassmaking process as a way to foster a sense of community. We hope to use our art to create a positive impact on society through community development and educational opportunities.
After years of glassmaking, our team has not only created works of art but has given back to the international community by raising money for community development organizations. We have held a glass sale at the annual gala dinner fundraiser event at the Kimmel Center in New York City for ten consecutive years, raising over $20,000. This money goes towards Miracle Corners of the World, a non-profit organization that that works “to empower youth to become positive agents of change in their communities” (www.mcwglobal.org).
If you would like to find out more information on how to donate to this cause or would like to purchase a piece of in-stock or custom designed art, please give us a call at (215)-534-2451 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
